Item Description

Socket & See IRC PRO Insulation and Continuity Tester The Socket & See IRC PRO Insulation and Continuity Tester is a highly efficient instrument, with the ability to perform 500 insulation tests at 1000V on a single set of 4 x AA batteries. The IRC PRO features an auto-ranging continuity function up to 19.99 kΩ, plus a continuity null ability (up to 5Ω) is included for highly accurate results. The number of tests completed in one battery lifespan of the IRC PRO can be increased even further when testing is performed at 500V or 250V. Select the necessary test sequence and voltage using the single rotary dial and large easy-to-use buttons. Set the device to Hands Free and the testing will continue until the option is deselected or the unit is turned off. An incorporated buzzer function is useful for identifying individual cables quickly and easily. The protective rubber casing of the IRC PRO, combined with a large backlit LCD display and auto-power off feature creates an extremely sturdy and practical device. The IRC PRO is fully protected against accidental mains connection, with an audible and LED warning system for dangerous voltages. The tester is CAT III 500V / CAT IV 400V rated. Socket and See Proving Unit SP200 The first proving unit to generate AC waveform, compact design encourages routine safety checks. The SP 200 has an Automatic test function to conserve batteries - Step voltage LEDs indicate voltage being generated from 50 to 690 Volts. It should always be proved that any electrical system is dead before commencing work. Two-pole voltage testers as recommended by the HSE, should be proved on a known live source or Proving Unit both before and after use. It is considered good practice by such organisations as the NICEIC Group. The Socket and See SP 200 Proving Unit provides a cost effective and convenient way of proving the safe operation of two-pole voltage testers (including test lamps) and multimeters. Socket and See Proving Unit SP 200 Key Features: Test two pole voltage testers including multimeters and test lamps The first proving unit to generate AC waveform for a true test Compact design encourages routine safety checks Automatic test function to conserve batteries on the SP200 Step voltage LEDs indicate voltage being generated 50-100-230-400-690V Low battery indication gives ample warning to replace batteries
