Item Description
Solve it like a Layton! Solving mysteries runs in the family! With Professor Layton's whereabouts unknown, it's time for his daughter Katrielle to take centre stage in Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy for Nintendo 3DS family systems! The story this time begins with Katrielle setting up the Layton Detective Agency on Chancer Lane, determined to prove her worth and hoping that the exposure will help her to uncover clues regarding her missing father's whereabouts. Whizzing around London on her trusty bicycle, solving case after unlikely case, Katrielle will become embroiled in a quizzical quest that eventually leads to her unwitting discovery of the Millionaires' Conspiracy. The Layton Detective Agency: "Any Mystery Solved It all happens on London's famous Chancer Lane, where Katrielle establishes the Layton Detective Agency - a private eye that says yes to anything that may concern its patrons. From missing pet ponderations to murder mysteries, Katrielle will undertake any investigation. Her remarkable and fantastical deductions quickly earn her a reputation which makes the young sleuth's services highly sought after. Crack the case Though motivated initially by the desire to track down her missing father, Professor Hershel Layton, Katrielle soon finds herself embroiled in a cacophony of cases across England's capital. As a result, the hunt for the Awol archaeology prof is pushed to the back of the queue. The beginning of the journey The Layton Detective Agency opens its doors to the public, and what member of the public should walk through those doors first, but a talking dog?! This canine is a conundrum to himself, and the agency motto of "Any Mystery Solved" is a bone too juicy to be put down. And who is this dog? So the amnesia-afflicted Sherl calls on Katrielle's services to uncover his past and discover his true identity. It's the first of many a mystery young heroine will help to solve. Sherl is on paw to help crack each case with some decidedly doggy insight. So, what mind-bending mysteries await detective duo? The puzzling adventure ahead is filled with characters who will help and hinder you as you unwind crimes, demystify mysteries and solve strange situations. Meet some of them below! Katrielle Layton The daughter of Professor Hershel Layton, Katrielle is the heroine of the Layton series. While spirited, she is also a gentlewomanly chip off the old block. And when it comes to solving crimes, she seems to have a knack of arriving at the truth in spite of positively paltry evidence. Sherl Katrielle's conversational - and coincidental - canine companion. The name derives from that of a famous detective, although it's perhaps not completely appropriate for a male dog. Katrielle is one of a handful of people able to talk normally with Sherl, and he frequently offers insight and advice during cases - in addition to not-always-welcome caustic commentary. Emiliana Perfetti Emiliana is Scotland Yard's number one case analyst and criminal profiler. She regards Katrielle with scorn, and considers her a rival, if not a worthy one. Ernest Greeves A young man who requests to become - or rather, insists on becoming - Katrielle's faithful assistant. He ends up paying the price, however, as Katrielle has him running all sorts of errands for her. In fact, he's more of a dogsbody than Sherl. You can't turn a corner in London without finding a puzzle - and this time there are more puzzles than any other Layton series game so far! Katrielle and her trusty sidekicks will have their work cut out to bust every brainteaser and explain each problem. That's not even counting bonus puzzles, which will be available to download daily for one year too.
