Born from a collaboration between JHS Pedals' Josh Scott and graphic artist Daniel Danger, the EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz pays tribute to Electro-Harmonix's legendary 1970s design era. This nano-sized powerhouse brings Josh's original circuit vision to life through EHX's engineering expertise, creating an entirely fresh fuzz sound that draws from the company's rich distortion heritage. The pedal made its debut on the JHS Show in 2022, showcasing a unique analog octave-up circuit that captures all the character of the original concept. The Lizard Queen's compact nano chassis houses a fixed-gain fuzz circuit with three essential controls. The Volume knob manages overall output levels, while the Octave control lets you blend in the octave-up signal from subtle enhancement to full-blown octave mayhem. This versatility makes it perfect for crushing rhythm tones or chimey, clanging lead sounds that cut through any mix. The Balance control serves as the pedal's tonal centrepiece, sweeping between the smoother Shadow setting and the raspy, aggressive Sun position. This control becomes particularly effective when the octave is cranked up, allowing you to shape the character of your sound from smooth and controlled to biting and chaotic. Daniel Danger's vintage-inspired graphics complete the package, giving this modern fuzz a classic EHX aesthetic.
