Continuing on in The Royal Mint's trend to release coins with new monetary denominations, in 2015 the very first BU £50 coin was released to the public. Struck in 0.999 fine silver and having a legal tender value of Fifty Pounds, it features a stunning interpretation of Britannia on the reverse. Designed by Jody Clark, Britannia is seen with her trident upstanding with the British Lion at her feet. An outline of the world is seen on the background.
