A special feature highlight of the D5000: A tilt- and rotatable 2.7-inch monitor. This makes it stand out from other cameras and allows you to take photos from any angle imaginable. In addition, the D5000 has the movie sequence function (D-Movie) adopted by the Nikon D90 for filming in HD quality. Thanks to its extensive built-in image editing features, a wide range of subject programs, 12.3 megapixel image sensor, and a high sensitivity range with values between ISO 200 and 3200 (expandable to ISO 100 to ISO 6400), the D5000 always makes great shots even in a wide range of lighting conditions. To ensure that all camera functions are easy and comfortable to use, they are housed in an ergonomically shaped housing with intuitively arranged controls. The world from all perspectives The D5000's 2.7" tilt- and rotatable LCD monitor opens up a whole new perspective in photography. With it, you can shoot from any angle. The camera can be positioned exactly as required for your shooting with the flexible movable monitor. So whether you're at a concert and want to shoot across the crowd, or if you want to take a picture from a frog's perspective, you can adjust the tilting monitor to keep your subject in view. Fold the monitor to protect it or turn it to the default position for normal shots with viewfinder.
