The camera features a 16 Megapixel APS-H format sensor for a 1.3x crop of a 35mm format frame that telephoto enthusiats will appreciate. This camera is ideal for action, the large high performance CMOS is married to dual DIGIC IV image processing chips, a combination designed to output high resolution low noise files at screamingly fast frame rates of 10fps or beautiful Full HD video at up to 30fps. The all new autofocus design uses 45 autofocus points with 39 of them being the more sensitive cross type to provide amazingly quick autofocus performance. The durable magnesium alloy weather sealed body continues the rugged battle tested 1D styling including an integral vertical grip on the bottom with a separate shutter button, making it easier to take portrait shots more comfortably in a more stable posture. On the back a large 3.0`` 920,000 dot display which is well suited for checking taken photos and changing or customizing a generous portfolio of settings. The viewfinder is large bright and provides a wealth of information. It is perfect for any action situation. The numerous pro ammenities and capabilities also make it a solid versatile choice for shooting portraits or any kind of general photography in challenging conditions.
