The new game console features a hinged housing and comes in a stylish colour combination. The screen size corresponds to that of the New Nintendo 3DS XL. The games on the New Nintendo 2DS XL are only playable in 2D. The new handheld device is lighter than the New Nintendo 3DS XL, but has the same computing power. Nintendo fans can also enjoy the built-in NFC support, which makes it easy to use separately available amiibo cards and figures without any additional accessories. They also have a huge selection of games to choose from, as the New Nintendo 2DS XL lets them enjoy all titles for Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DS in 2D. Popular characters such as Mario, Peach, Yoshi and Kirby can also be found exclusively on Nintendo consoles, as can the successful video game series "Pokémon, "Fire Emblem", "Mario Kart", "Super Smash Bros.", "Animal Crossing" and "The Legend of Zelda".
