Item Description

The 1907 Edward VII London mint gold sovereign features Benedetto Pistrucci's engraving of St George slaying a dragon. Struck in 22 carat gold, 0.916 fineness Exempt from Capital Gains Tax Popular with coin collectors In 1907, the Edward VII sovereign was issued by the Royal Mint in London and three branch mints of Melbourne, Perth and Sydney in Australia. Obverse George William De Saulles' effigy of Edward VII is displayed on the obverse of the coin together with the legend EDWARDVS VII D:G:BRITT:OMN:REX:F:D:IND:IMP: Reverse The 1907 Edward VII sovereign features an engraving by Benedetto Pistrucci of St George attacking a dragon with his sword. The year, 1907, is situated in the exergue. No mintmark is present in the ground below the dragon which indicates that this 22 carat gold coin.
