Item Description

Building on the global success of our Crossroads range of instruments, our design team have created a whole new range of guitars, inspired by the cosmetic of 1940/50’s era US instruments with the class leading constructional signature of Michael Sanden and the Tanglewood artisanal team. Every Blackbird model is carefully braced to provide a tight bottom end bass note and clear rich high spectrum resonance. We have bound each model in vintage ivory ABS materials to provide the look of Bakelite from the 40’s, and though this won’t affect the sound, it certainly helps give provenance to the historic look our design team wished to capture, and to our mind, they have done a wonderful job. We have both traditional acoustic models and stage ready electro acoustic versions available, all featuring the outstanding new Tanglewood Premium Plus Eq system as standard equipment. The rich smoky charcoal stained finish we have christened “Smokestack Black“ and we hope, amongst the range you will be able to choose your own favourite! Brand New     

The item has never been used and is in original packaging. Where applicable factory seal still intact.

New Other     

The item has only been unwrapped from new in-store for testing and is in perfect condition.

Refurbished

Grade A - Very Good. The item will show only very slight signs of use.

Grade B - Good. The item will show small signs of wear including small scratches.

Grade C - Acceptable. The item will show signs of extended use including scratches, dents and scuffs.

Pre-Owned

Grade A - Like New. The item looks unused and in perfect condition to the naked eye from 12 inches.

Grade B - Very Good. A well looked after item that has had limited use and remains in great condition. The item will show some light signs of wear which may include very small scratches.

Grade C - Good. The item shows wear from use but remains in good condition. This may include small scratches.

Grade D - Acceptable. The item is fairly worn. The signs of wear can include scratches, dents and scuffs. 

Grade F - Faulty. An item that is not fully working, any faults and aesthetic condition will be in the description.
