The Freshman 5-string Open Back banjo is a great addition to the Freshman range. Offering a lot of instrument for the money, this banjo is ideal for the first-time banjo player, or perhaps the multi-instrumentalist looking to obtain a cost-effective - but high quality - banjo for their collection.The open back on this Freshman banjo results in a more open sound than a closed back design, with less overall volume. Its five strings are all tuned via accurate, geared tuning machines. Producing that well-loved snappy 5-string banjo sound, the Freshman Open Back Banjo lends itself well to bluegrass and folk music. - Comes with case
