So while it's nothing new for Meinl to treat all of us to amazingly innovative gear, the MPDC1 is something else entirely! A genuine digital cajon, this percussive box goes way beyond Meinl's pickup-equipped cajons and features four ergonomically-placed rubber trigger-pads. A total of ten different sounds taken from Meinl-made cajons, percussion instruments, drums and cymbals come loaded in and can be easily toggled u. The Meinl MPDC1 Digital Cajon First and foremost, the biggest advantage of a digital cajon is care-free practising. Sure, cajons aren't as loud as fully-fledged drum kits, but if you live in an apartment or love recording long after sunset, any instrument you can plug a pair of headphones into is a great solution. Next to a headphone mini-jack, the all-birch MPDC1 comes equipped with sound-profile selection control, a volume knob and two jack outputs as well as a 'program-up' pedal jack input for the included switch pedal.
