The reasonably priced smc PENTAX-DA 50 mm F1, 8 offers a very high light intensity. It therefore allows shorter exposure times, so even at dusk or in other recording situations with poor lighting conditions well-lit, sharp images. The smc PENTAX-DA 50 mm F1.8 fits perfectly with the design of high quality camera housings. It is built so solid that it can easily serve as a lightweight tele-standard lens in everyday use. With a length of only 38.5 millimeters and a weight of only 122 g, it is so small and light that it also finds a place in the jacket pocket or in the photo backpack as a supplementary lens on every trip. The front lens of the smc PENTAX-DA 50 mm F1, 8 is coated with PENTAX Original-SP (Super Protect Coating). This protective layer is not only dust, water and grease repellent, but also facilitates gentle cleaning, should a fingerprint get lost on the front lens. The SP coating is applied in addition to the PENTAX smc coating, which covers all glass / air surfaces.
