The Dewalt DCH172 18V XR Brushless SDS+ Hammer Drill that is not only small, but disguises an incredibly powerful tool. This is the smallest and also the lightest cordless rotary hammer drill from Dewalt. Weighing only 2.1kg (with a 2.0Ah battery pack), this is 32% lighter than the previous model resulting in a tool that is comfortable to carry, as well as being able to use for longer periods of time. The class leading Impact Energy motor results in a faster drilling time than many competitors. This reduces the time needed to complete your job. But by doing so, it doesn’t increase the feel of vibration. On the contrary, there is noticeably low operational vibration (8.8m/s²) – this means you can use this for longer without the worry of strain. The Drill has been designed to, not only a durable and robust design, but to out perform many competitors on the market or in the workspace. The 2 mode operation allows for either Rotary Hammer or Rotary Only modes. There is also a convenient tether point to attach a lanyard to keep it secure when you’re working at height. At the heart of this tool is the brushless motor that allows you to use the drill efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently.
