A 1968 Omega De Ville mechanical watch represents the refined peak of 1960s horology, featuring clean dress aesthetics, a robust mechanical (manual-wind or automatic) movement, and the sleek proportions that made it a flagship standalone collection for Omega.Core Product Specifications & DescriptionsDesign Era: In 1967, Omega dropped the "Seamaster" name from the De Ville, launching it as a distinct collection. 1968 models showcase a blend of traditional craftsmanship and dynamic modern styling.Case: Typically features a slim, elegant profile available in stainless steel, gold-capped, or solid 14k/18k gold. Case widths generally range from 33 mm to 36 mm (excluding the crown) with a lug-to-lug length of around 38 mm to 40 mm.Dials: Often highly minimalist or textured (such as the popular "linen," sunburst, or vertically-striped tapestry dials).
