The Zoom GFX-5 is a versatile guitar multi-effects processor housed in a rugged metal chassis, designed for both live performance and home practice. Released in the early 2000s, it remains a popular choice on the used market for its intuitive analog-style controls and wide range of digital effects. Modeling Power: Features Zoom's VAMS (Variable Architecture Modeling System), offering 15 amp models and 33 distortion types. Built-in Tools: Includes an integrated drum machine with 60 rhythm patterns and a 6-second phrase sampler for practicing riffs. "Energize" Effect: A unique feature designed to boost mids and highs, ensuring the guitar sound cuts through a band mix. Real-time Control: Equipped with a solid metal expression pedal to control up to 61 different parameters, such as volume, wah, and pitch. Interface: Uses dedicated knobs for 4-band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence) and gain settings, avoiding complex digital menus.
