Item Description

The Irix 15 mm and f2.4 ultra-wide angle lens for full-frame cameras is a new version of lenses for photographers as well as professional photographers who have the highest standards of quality and image performance. It is finished with a special "Neutrino" coating, which allows the reduction of side images and overexposure effects. The lens consists of 15 lenses of which three have a high refractive index (HR), two are made of glass with low emulsion (ED) and two lenses have aspherical surfaces (ASP). This ensures a high image performance right up to the corners of the image. Nine aperture slats produce an almost circular aperture and thus a harmonious bokeh effect of motif areas that are outside the sharpness range. The lens is protected with seals against dust and moisture. Together with the aluminium magnesium housing, it is designed for use in hard professional everyday life. A 95 mm diameter filter thread accommodates glass filters for colour corrections or special image effects, while an additional insert for gelatin filters 30 × 30 mm on the rear of the lens. The Irix "Firefly" lens focuses on a handy design with a particularly ergonomic focusing ring. It is the lightest lens in its class.
