Since its release in 1981, the workhorse SD-1 Super Overdrive has been the core gain pedal for generations of players across every musical genre. Based around the revolutionary asymmetrical clipping circuit from the OD-1 Overdrive tone of the three original BOSS compact pedals from 1977, the SD-1 delivers rich, smooth, and highly musical overdrive tones that continue to inspire guitarists everywhere. The SD1 produces the warm, smooth distortion of an overdriven tube amplifier while maintaining the subtle nuances of your picking technique. Boss's unique asymmetric overdrive circuitry delivers a genuine overdrive effect for a classic guitar sound. A tone control is also provided for precise tonal adjustment. Smooth, round, fat distortion--the sound of tubes being pushed past their limits. The overdriven sound that the electric blues and rock were built on. That's the sound you'll get with the Boss SD1 Super Overdrive Pedal. And so you can get your tone just right, there's a Tone control knob between the Level and Drive knobs.
