Item Description
Swiss movement This watch is powered by a Swiss movement (Raymond Weil's own (automatic) RW4420). Swiss movements have the highest quality mark. Date display The current date is displayed on the watch face. Leather strap The watch strap is made of leather. Sapphire Glass Sapphire is up to 7 times harder than steel, and is only broken by diamonds (on the Mohs scale). This means that sapphire glass is excellent for protecting your watch. Automatic movement This watch has an automatic movement that charges itself as you move. Water resistant: 100 meters (10 bar) Rated as 10 bar or 100 meters. This means you can wear the watch while swimming. Please note that the value of 100 meters is not the depth at which you can use the watch, but rather the value refers to the air pressure that the watch, completely still, can withstand in the water resistance test (ISO 2281), which does not measure the pressure effect during movement - which is noticeably higher. The number of diving meters is lower than the rating. Condensation - important! Rapid temperature fluctuations can create negative pressure inside the watch, which can cause condensation. If you notice dew inside the glass, take the watch to a watchmaker immediately to remove the moisture, because even if the dew disappears, the moisture remains. The moisture can then penetrate the movement, which can result in it breaking completely. Not even completely waterproof watches are condensation-proof, because condensation can occur when you go from extreme cold to high heat, such as from winter outdoor temperatures to heated indoor temperatures, or into a sauna. If condensation occurs, it does not necessarily have to be a design defect, and in fact it is not a cause for complaint. Size The watch has a 42 mm wide case (from left to right). Although not all cases are circular, we still use the term diameter and refer to the measurement from left to right, in the middle... at the crown, but without including the size of the crown. Some manufacturers include the crown in their measurements, but we want to have a standardized norm, and therefore always exclude the size of the crown. The housing consists of solid stainless steel. Size Guide Does the watch fit your wrist? Men's watches have gradually become larger over time, and today the typical men's watch is between 40 and 45 mm wide. If your wrist is larger or smaller than "normal", we recommend that you look at the outer edges, or even outside those measurements, to get the right size for you.
