The Boardman HYB 8.6 Mens Hybrid Bike is a fast, lightweight, and versatile flat-bar all-rounder designed to blend the high rolling speed of a road bike with the stable, upright comfort of a traditional hybrid. It is an entry-level model within the Boardman hybrid lineup, making it a highly popular choice for daily commuting, fitness riding, and weekend leisure cruises across asphalt and light gravel trails. Frame & Fork: Features a lightweight triple-butted 6061 X7 aluminium frame with hidden, smooth welds for a premium finish and an alloy fork with a chromoly steerer to deliver predictable, stable handling. Drivetrain: Equipped with a 2x9 speed Shimano Alivio groupset featuring a compact 46/30T or 48/32T chainset paired with an 11-36T cassette, providing an excellent wide gear range to tackle steep hills comfortably. Brakes: Outfitted with Tektro HD-M275 hydraulic disc brakes (160mm rotors) to ensure powerful, reliable, and easily modulated stopping power in both wet and dry conditions. Wheels & Tyres: High-durability Boardman alloy rims on Formula quick-release hubs, fitted with 35mm or 37mm Schwalbe Citizen tyres that come with K-Guard Kevlar puncture protection and a reflective sidewall for extra urban visibility' Frame Size: 19" Wheel Size: 25"
