Item Description

• The 2x8 Setup: Older generations of the Vengeance utilized a 3x8 (24-speed) system. The newer 16-speed configuration replaces the troublesome triple front chainring with a modern double ring, which dramatically reduces chain drops and simplifies shifting. • Mechanical vs. Hydraulic Brakes: The Tektro mechanical disc brakes provide predictable stopping power but only move one pad, causing the brake rotor to flex slightly. Reviewers on r/ukbike frequently note that a common budget upgrade down the line is swapping these out for cheap hydraulic brakes (like Shimano MT200s) for a smoother lever feel. • Sizing Check: While the 18" frame is labeled as a Medium, your inside leg measurement matters just as much as your height. It is ideal for an inside leg measurement of roughly 31 to 32.5 inches.
