The Digidesign Mbox 2 is a classic USB audio and MIDI interface originally released in 2005. Developed by Digidesign (now Avid), it served as the core hardware hub for home and mobile studios running Pro Tools LE software. Because it was discontinued many years ago, it is now primarily available as a budget-friendly used item. Audio Fidelity: 24-bit resolution with maximum sampling rates up to 48 kHz.Simultaneous I/O: Up to 4 inputs and 2 outputs simultaneously (utilising both analogue and digital connections). Analogue Inputs: Two dedicated channels. Each features independent source selection and gain control, offering separate XLR microphone (with 48V phantom power), 1/4" balanced line, and 1/4" DI instrument inputs. Digital & MIDI I/O: 2 channels of S/PDIF digital I/O via RCA jacks, alongside dedicated MIDI In and Out ports. Connectivity: Bus-powered via standard USB connection (no external power supply required)
