This Henry Griffith & Sons 9ct Gold Metal Core Bangle is a stylish and elegant piece of highly collectable vintage jewellery. High end jewellery makers HG & Sons, were founded in 1850 by Henry Griffith of Birmingham and remained a highly regarded family business until the 1950's when the company was purchased by Caledonian Holdings Ltd. Most bracelets of this kind are stamped with '1/5 9CT' which indicates the gold percentage within the bangle. However items dated pre 1973 do not tend to have this mark as makers were not required to do so before this date. Henry Griffith rarely included the percentage mark, instead relying on the company's own registered hallmark, (HG&S) to guarantee the highest quality. Featuring a 9ct gold safety chain for added security, the bangle's classic design and durable construction make it a timeless accessory that can be worn on special occasions or as a statement piece to elevate any outfit.
