The Seiko Perpetual Calendar GMT (Reference 8F56-0020) is a highly collectible, high-frequency quartz watch produced in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It is highly regarded by enthusiasts for packing true High-Accuracy Quartz (HAQ) performance and advanced complications into an accessible, everyday sports watch package. Key Specifications & Features High-Accuracy Movement: Powered by the in-house Seiko 8F56 High-End Quartz Movement. It oscillates at a high frequency of 196,608 Hz, resulting in an extraordinary annual accuracy of ±20 seconds per year. Perpetual Calendar: The watch automatically calculates odd and even months, including February leap years, all the way until 28 February 2100. You will never need to manually correct the date on shorter months. True GMT Complication: Features an independent 24-hour hand (often finished in red or a contrasting colour) that allows you to track a second time zone simultaneously. 10-Year Battery Life: It uses a long-life lithium battery (typically a CR2412) designed to keep the watch running continuously for roughly 10 years. Dimensions & Build: Built with a 41mm to 42mm case diameter (excluding crown), a 12mm thickness, and a 100m (10 bar) water resistance rating. Depending on the specific sub-variant, the case and integrated bracelet are made from either high-grade stainless steel or lightweight titanium
