Item Description

The Nintendo 2DS is an entry-level handheld console from the Nintendo 3DS family that plays all Nintendo 3DS and most Nintendo DS games in 2D only. It features a robust, non-folding, slate-like design and was primarily targeted at a younger demographic. Design: The 2DS has a unique, single slate form factor instead of the clamshell design of other DS and 3DS systems, which makes it more durable and comfortable for some users but less portable. Display: It features a 3.53-inch top LCD screen and a 3.02-inch bottom resistive touchscreen. The screens are part of a single internal display made to look like two separate screens. Compatibility: It can play the entire library of physical and downloadable Nintendo 3DS games in 2D, as well as most original Nintendo DS games. Connectivity: The console supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi for online multiplayer, the Nintendo eShop for game downloads, and features like StreetPass and SpotPass to exchange data with other systems. Audio: The Nintendo 2DS has a single built-in mono speaker, but it supports stereo sound through the headphone jack. Cameras: It includes one user-facing and two forward-facing VGA cameras, capable of taking 3D photos which can only be viewed in 3D on a Nintendo 3DS console.
