The Ovation S861-W is a USA-made electro-acoustic guitar from the late 1990s/early 2000s. It features a Thinline/Shallow Lyrachord roundback body, a solid spruce top, mahogany neck, and a rosewood fretboard. The Ovation S861 Balladeer has been an industry standard for years. Redesigned and engineered for sonic perfection, the Balladeer sets the bar for all other acoustic/electrics that came after it. No other guitar is so steeped in Ovation history. Over the years, Ovation's design team fine tuned the Balladeer, component by component. The result is an Instrument of unmatched value. With its Solid spruce top, mahogany neck, hand rubbed finish, and the preamp that's the envy of every guitarmaker in its class, the S861 is an amazing value.
