The optimized optical and mechanical design offers enormous super telezoom performance for APS-C packages (equivalent to 105-525 mm). The high performance of G Lenses is maintained throughout the zoom range. The compact, mobile 5x Supertele zoom lens also has built-in optical image stabilisation. The precise optical design with three extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements and one aspherical element reduces aberrations throughout the zoom range, including chromatic aberration that can occur at super-tele focal lengths. High sharpness and clarity are achieved over the entire zoom and image area. And the bokeh is beautiful. Despite the 5x zoom range, the compact lens weighs only 625 g for improved camera system mobility. 70-350 mm (equivalent to 105-525 mm) is the ideal range for a wide variety of motifs. With built-in image stabilization, you can capture clear, blur-free images, even hand-held shots with Super Tele focal lengths. An APS-C lens is equipped with an XD linear motor, original Sony technology, which ensures fast, precise and consistent AF. Combined with the real-time AF capabilities of the latest compact APS-C enclosures, this provides a powerful, easy-to-use system for landscape and wildlife photography.
