Item Description

The Ibanez ALT30 (Indigo Blue Burst - IBB) is an acoustic-electric hybrid from the Altstar series designed for electric players, featuring a compact dreadnought body with a cutaway, a 25.5" scale maple neck with 22 frets, and a spruce top. It offers a fast, slim neck, low action, and includes an AEQ2UT preamp with a tuner. Key Features and Specs Body: Small dreadnought with a Venetian cutaway and a Spruce top with Sapele back and sides. Neck & Fretboard: Maple neck with a "Comfort Grip" profile and a laurel/walnut fretboard (depending on model year) with special Altstar inlays. Electronics: Ibanez under-saddle pickup paired with an Ibanez AEQ-2UT preamp (pre-2025) or AEQ-2T (2025+) with a built-in tuner. Hardware: Chrome die-cast tuners (18:1 ratio) and Ibanez Advantage bridge pins for easier string changes. Strings: Factory equipped with lighter .010 gauge strings for an electric-like feel. Design: The neck joins the body at the 16th fret for improved high-fret access. The neck profile and string spacing are tailored for a seamless transition from electric to acoustic. Versatility: Suitable for both practice and performance, providing a brighter, modern acoustic sound. The Indigo Blue Burst (IBB) features a vibrant, high-gloss blue finish that highlights the top.
